10 January 2019
The first Celebration Assembly of 2019 was led by Mr Tutt and began with prayers from Florence & Grace in 6T.  
Accelerated Reader Challenge:  
 Miss Stock will resume the challenge next week, hopefully there will be some changes on the leader board this year. 
Golden Book: Luisa, Harry M, Aysenur, Rory, Timo, Finlay, Avin, Lydia, Dylan M, Vincent, Oscar & Florence. 
 Congratulations to the following, who are all the first in the Golden Book in 2019.  In Year 3: Luisa, for a super star to 2019: Harry, for increased confidence in class, making brilliant contributions to lessons and Aysenur, for settling in really well last term and having a good attitude to her learning.  In Year 4: Rory, for having a great start to the new year: Timo, for working more independently this week - what an excellent start to 2019 and Finlay S, for great work in maths.  In Year 5: Avin, for his great attitude to improving in areas he is less confident in: Lydia, for fabulous and improved writing and Dylan, for his effort and improved concentration in class.  In Year 6: Vincent, for a brilliant start to the new year, being more confident and working hard: Oscar, for his enthusiastic and positive start to the new term, keen to share ideas in topic and Florence, for an energetic and enthusiastic start to the term.  
Hockey: Eddie & Riyad, in Year 3 
 Congratulations to both Eddie and Riyad, both in Year 3, who play hockey for Crowborough U10's and recently went to Brighton to play a tournament, their team finished in third place and also won the prize for the 'Most Promising Side'.  They both proudly showed their medals.  
Shell Award: 4S Clear Winners 
 Many congratulations to 4S, this weeks clear winners of the Shell Award; they will receive some additional free time at the end of the week and be able to go on the play equipment at break and lunchtime on Friday -weather permitting.   
Swimming : Ella, Year 4. 
 Congratulations to Ella, in Year 4, who has gained her Rainbow Distance 200m Award.  She had to swim 200m without stopping.
