On Wednesday 26th November the ‘A’ team went to Bidborough to play a football match. The game kecked off and they had an attacking chance which blazed wide. After a few more minutes Miller got the ball and snuck in a sneaky goal past their keeper. A goal kick was taken and Josh didn’t put enough loft on the kick and they headed in a goal over the top of him. We had lots of chances, then Dean went for a cross, their keeper left it and it rolled in, 2-1 to us. The half time whistle went. They were on top form in the second half and scored a good goal which rolled past Josh who was unable to stop their third goal. Then we had some attacking chances but their defence was strong. They scored another goal and then another went past Josh which made the score 4-2 to them. After the centre Max had a chance but it just missed. The final whistle went leaving the final score 4-2 to them. Thank you to Mrs Waller for organising the match and managing us and to Mrs Simkins and Mrs Woolgar for taking us.

On 21st October, St. James' B team played their first league match against Langton Green. We started the game well and had a lot of chances. Harry was unlucky with a couple of chips over the cross bar. Before we knew it, it was half time. Half way through the second half Jonny scored a brilliant goal to put us in the lead. We tried hard from then on, but couldn't get another goal. We were very happy with our first win. Thank you Mrs Waller for organising it and thank you to all the parents who supported us.

On 17th October St James' A team played a tournament at Hawkenbury. Our first match was against St. John's B team. We dominated the play then in the last minute Haytham scored. The next game was against St. Marks, they scored first to make the score 1-1. Our third game was against St. John's A team, we had known from the start that they weren't going to be easy. The final score was 1-0 to them. Our fourth game was against Southborough, Haytham and Joe T both scored to make it 2-0, that was the final score. If we won our final match we would be secured a second place. The final match was very exciting and Ollie scored. We did very well and finished third overall. Thank you to Mrs Crane who managed our team.

On 17th October the B team played at Hawkenbury in the Primary Cup. This was the first time we had played together as a team. Our first game was against Bishops Down, we tried our hardest but they were a strong team, so we lost 1-0. Our second game was against Claremont, we played better but we were playing a stronger team and the result was 3-0 to them. Our third game was against Langton, we played really well this time, but still they were a good team, but we managed to hold them to a 0-0 draw. Our fourth game was against Southborough A team, we were all ready for this game, but sadly lost 3-0. Our last game was against St. Augustines, we were worried because they had won lst year, but we never gave up and we held them to the end, but in the last minute they scored and the final result was 1-0 to them, we thought it was a good result against last years winners.
